3st day in Lindenberg: handmade hat!

14:02:00

The third day in Lindenberg: the making of our own hat in Mayser factory! A fun-filled day, during which I have not been able to bring camera (for security reasons), the pictures you see in this post are all made by iPhone (sorry for the poor quality). From morning to late afternoon we were inside the factory (where, in addition to the very nice workers I met Julia, a beautiful follower of the blog, what a thrill to meet someone who follows you in a foreign country!), you can admire in these photos the result of meticulous work of tailors, who, by speaking German and a little English helped me making my first draft hat. I decided to make a simple but very elegant model, which recalls the style fresh and frivolous court-ladies of the '800s, Panama straw, with a wide brim, edged in black lace, satin bow and a beautiful black satin ribbon profile lace to tie under the chin, an unusual touch, and I love it, do you love it too? I will wear this hat a lot and it will become a new trend;-) I'm really proud of the result! Even Gio was very busy: please look at him in these photos because I do not think we'll have other chances to see him sewing by machine :-) He made a simple Panama hat and a lovely très chic hat for me, dark brown rabbit felt, that I will show in the tomorrow post, thanks love :-) the day ended with a light dinner in a Biergarten, and then a wine tasting in the museum of which I spoke yesterday HERE. For the day I chose a simple look: jeans and shirt for the morning, used jeans and green crochet sweater for the evening. See you tomorrow with the next adventure, surprise :-)
