4th day in Lindenberg: hats from the world

14:09:00

Our fourth day in Lindenberg began with a wonderful cultural exchange: all the representatives of the various countries have had the opportunity to present their traditional hats, history, culture and use. A very interesting lesson! I have presented, in addition to our favorite models: Bombetta (Bowler hat) and Borsalino, the classic Sicilian Coppola (of course!), a classic hat worn by young Sicilian Mafia clans belonging to the '30s and revived this year by Luis Vuitton in a more feminine way with ribbon under the throat. Among the various nations, the most interesting was, in my opinion, Turkey (I asked so many question to the representative girl, Selen, sorry!). In the pictures you find the main hats, the classic turban typical of the Sultans, the ceremonial white hat, the hat matched to the typical traditional costume, the pink veil worn by older women (and me in the photo) and the red veil, typical of wedding, during which the groom lifts it in a symbolic gesture (we have proven ourselves, turkish wedding in sight). There were also traditional hats from Poland, Latvia (example: the headband I'm wearing in the photo), the Czech Republic (the beige hat, pictured), from Switzerland, Germany and Austria. In short, a real interesting mix, concluded with a delicious lunch together at a local restaurant near a beautiful lake, a perfect sun and a beautiful landscape, isn't it? I wore my new dress H&M Divided, purchased in Munich, combining it with black tights, black sweater and basic Panama (it belonged to Gio's father). To round off the evening, after an annoying illness which forced me to bed for the whole afternoon, a dinner during which the cultural exchange between me, Gio and Turkey, continued, I am very happy! It 's really great to know people and cultures, at the same table and talk ... I'm thrilled about this experience and I wish it would never end! Until tomorrow, the next post, directly from Mainau, the island of flowers!
